A Xaela man from the Kahkol tribe, set forth to travel Eorzea at the behest of tribe elders several years ago. Working odd jobs across Eorzea, he sends what money he can back home to help support his many younger siblings. After being taken in by the Kahkol tribe at a young age, the love and gentle care he was raised with left an unshakable impression on him. Determined to return as much of the care he was raised with onto others, he grew to be a (somewhat over-protective) loving older brother to every child his clan took in after him. Unbeknownst to him, his clan has been decimated by conflict and disease.
A calm and optimistic personality, he looks on the bright side of most situations. Usually quiet, somewhat sedated, difficult to provoke, and even harder to offend. Khaishan is a sleepy bear of a man, slow to react but terrifying when set off. His weak spot is kids, and he has a hard time saying no.
About
The Kahkol TribeFor as long as he could remember, Khaishan was surrounded by family. As a young child the disperate memembers of the Kahkol tribe filled his world variety and warmth. Never grieving parents he was born to, the family Khaishan found in his tribe provided all the stability and love he could hope for. Khaishan was more than happy to return the guidance and love he received with the many siblings the clan would take in.Joining in the caretaking of the children born into and taken in by the Kahkol tribe as an adolescent, he was affectionately known as big brother to many of the children his tribe. To Khaishan, every member of the Khakol tribe is family and he viewed the children as younger siblings. Rushing to tend to every bump, bruise and burden his love for the younger members made him over-protective. It took time, but eventually he learned not to indulge his siblings to to extent of spoiling them. Even after reaching adulthood, he remained steadfast in his duties to the children of the tribe. Choosing to stay home while others left to hunt or barter, he would mend clothing and help look after the ailing and elders of the tribe as well. Although somewhat smothering at times, his gentle devotion and steady patience with his younger siblings would never waver.Khaishan left the Azim Steppe roughly a few years ago at the behest of the elders in his clan. Clan resources were always tight and semi-isolation was a necessity for survival. Khaishan also was a bit of a "hovering" parent to his younger siblings at times, potentially being a burden to their growth. Still, none of this was truly a problem. Unbeknownst to Khaishan, the growing threat of the Baguda clan was. So distracted with the inner workings of the clan Khaishan was far less aware of howcornered his clan was becoming. Being healthy, hale and loyal to a fault, Khaishan would be willing to die for his clan desipte how futile his efforts to defend them would be. The Kahkol clan elders encouraged Khaishan to leave under the pretense of "learning healing magics from the west" or "earning money for back home." He was also encouraged to use the name of another clan in his journey so he would be less likely to be taken advantage of, considering the Kahkol's weak reputation. Khaishan bought it, none the wiser.
Journey to the West & Life in EorzeaIt took roughly two years to make it through Garlean occupied Doma and working in Kugane doing odd jobs before Khaishan was able to secure to the west. Since then, he started as an apprentice conjurer, graduated and now continues his studies as he works countless odd jobs. He keeps sending as many letters filled with warm wishes and as much gil as he can manage as often as he can.One of Khaishan's contacts from Kugane's dockyard was kind enough to help Khaisan ensure his letters made it to the Azim Steppe properly. Did his letters ever reach his family? Or were they gone before even the first one could arrive? Blissfully unaware, Khaishan continues sending these letters despite the fact that they will never be properly received. Are the mail carriers too kind to break the news to Khaishan? Are they simply making off with all the money he's sent? Who knows. Over time Khaishan has slowly grown worried that he's never recieved a reply, but his overly accepting attitude means he's never seriously been concerned. Easily assured that sending letters through Garlean occupied Doma and overseas would likely be far too difficult or expensive for his clan, he happily awaits a reunion that will never happen.

Hello, I'm a very shy person and don't have a whole lot of text-based rp experience but I'm doing my best! If it doesn't come across in Kaishan's writing, I love lending a helping hand where I can. Feel free to reach out for help, roulettes, etc!
Right now I'm looking for character building and more slow paced rp in general, as well as long term rp partners. I'm still actively developing Kaishan.

Kaishan is perpetually broke, between sending money back home and giving it away to anyone who asks nicely, his wallet is always empty. Do you have some harebrained get rich quick scheme you're looking for someone to fall for? Or heck, even a legitimate job?
After working all over Eorzea, Khaishan has met a wide variety of people as customers, coworkers and employers. Were we both temp staff at the gold saucer together? Bartender, server, delivery person, etc and customer?
Are you a member of the Doman resistance, or a involved in the the black market that's popped up as a result of Imperial occupation? Maybe you're one of Khaishan's old contacts, or a new one after previous ones fell through.
